Secondo il chitarrista della band Robby Krieger, il brano è stato ispirato dalla canzone “(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend”. Il brano viene riprodotto in modalità E Dorian, e incorpora gli effetti sonori reali del tuono e della pioggia, mentre Ray Manzarek con il pianoforte Fender Rhodes emula il suono della pioggia.
